My main focus is understanding the people I work with. I am curious about why we behave, think, and feel like we do and I want to help you know your life story more meaningfully. The most important relationship you can have is the one you have with yourself. My goal is to help people learn how to reconnect and rediscover themselves, with the aim of cultivating a more compassionate and understanding relationship with oneself, ultimately leading to a greater understanding of who you truly are. As a directive therapist, my approach is marked by a profound intuition, a keen attunement to others, and an unwavering sense of compassion. In our sessions, we’ll delve into the art of emotional regulation and fortify the mind-body connection.

Sometimes, the challenges we face can overwhelm our abilities to cope. This can lead us away from our values, sense of self and can make the future look uncertain.
During times of transition and uncertainty, we may require some extra support to help us make sense of the things getting in our way. My role as a therapist is not to provide you with an answer, it is to help you make meaning of your experiences.
I believe each person has their own innate wisdom and my job is to create a safe relational space for them to access it.

I am a Registered Psychotherapist, Registered Marriage and Family Therapist and Co-Founder of Relationship Matters Therapy Centre. The way I work with clients is very person-centred, and collaborative. I recognize how we do not live in isolation. We all live in the context of much larger systems and multiple relationships that inevitably have an impact on how we experience the world. I like to keep things fair, down-to-earth, respectful, and equitable while creating an anti-oppressive space with clients to talk about the things that really matter to you

We are all equipped to defeat our depression, anxiety and anger; however sometimes we get ‘stuck’ and need a counselling therapist to help us get ‘unstuck’. It is possible to find self-therapy such as TEAM CBT therapy to help us get ‘unstuck’. We need a therapy that we can take home, to take to work with us and into our relationships. We want a therapy with techniques we can apply to gain mastery over our thoughts. We want a therapy to help us push through any beliefs and attitudes that are stopping us from growing. Most of all, we need a therapy to stop the seeemingly endless pain and a therapist that can teach us how. A TEAM CBT therapist in team with you, the client, can do just that.

I take a holistic, mind-body approach in my practice and work to develop an awareness of how our nervous system plays a key role in regulating our emotions and internal state. I integrate aspects of both talk and body-based interventions to best support healing.
I specialize in; anxiety, trauma, stress, burnout, relationship issues, athletic & sports performance, and emotional regulation.
I draw primarily from polyvagal-informed therapy to support emotional and nervous system regulation, helping clients build resilience and cultivate safety in their bodies. I integrate somatic practices to encourage deeper body awareness and facilitate healing, and utilize EMDR to process past trauma and rewire unhelpful patterns.
