I provide both short and long term therapy services to individuals looking to process a vast array of psychological and personal issues. Grounded in Insight Therapy, which seeks to discover the root of emotional suffering, I can help you recognize how events in your past are negatively influencing your current thoughts, emotions and behaviours.
I offer the following specialties developed over 17 years of practice with diverse populations: Integrative psychotherapy to deal with long-term depression, anger and anxiety. Healing for and recovery from childhood trauma, divorce, relationship therapy, couple therapy, addiction and continuing care. I do detailed initial assessments collaboratively to determine the scope for short and long-term therapy for you. You are assured of my support, utmost respect and confidentiality. My caring and compassionate nature will enhance our partnership in therapy. I am also an approved clinical supervisor under CRPO. I welcome qualifying psychotherapists and graduate students for supervision and mentoring.
I use a variety of psychotherapy modalities and will use the one that feels best and right for you. We offer clinical psychotherapy with traditional approaches like cognitive behavioural therapy, as well as modern-day approaches like trauma-based therapy and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) which focuses on the brain’s ability to update itself and adapt to the positive present perspective.
