My own practice is focussed on working with men and professional pilots. I spent over 20 years as a professional pilot, from air ambulance to airline, and I have developed a strong ability to assess risk.
My training included a sound academic base and focussed on the soft skills of professional counselling such as listening and attending, making sure a client is seen and heard. I continue taking further training, particularly in areas that have evidence of being effective in treating trauma, PTSD and C-PTSD. My approach is client centered, trauma informed and can include the modalities of EMDR, narative therapy, CBT, REBT, parts work (IFS), and somatic elements.
