The human brain is an amazing tool with incredible possibilities. However, sometimes this wonderful tool can generate states and thoughts that are not as useful to us. Luckily our mind is also flexible, which means that with some intentional adjustments we can often change how we think, feel and behave. In a way, therapy is all about getting to know ourselves and using our mind’s own tricks to our advantage, to facilitate the changes we want to see.
I specialize in working with adults with anxiety and self-esteem issues. I also specialize in couple’s counselling and helping couples maneuver a variety of challenges in their relationship, such as a breakdown of communication, recurring arguments, life transitions, and intimacy issues.

I offer cognitive behavioural therapy, which is an evidence-based approach focusing on how your thoughts and actions affect how you feel. Mindfulness and self-compassion are infused into my approach. Together we work as a team to determine what is getting in the way of you living a value-filled life; you will learn practical tools to make lasting changes.
I work to provide a non-judgmental, non-shaming space where we can explore what has brought you here; whether that be a current crisis, a chronic situation, or past events that haven’t been fully processed. It is my hope that in our work together you will become more attuned to your internal system and the insight it provides. I work primarily with clients aged 10 and up. I work from an integrative approach to ensure that the methods I use work best for you and your concerns. I encourage open communication so that I do not use a method or intervention that is not working for you. I specialize in chronic illness/pain, trauma/PTSD, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, couples/sex therapy, lgbtqia2s+, and career counselling, however, I am trained to work with other concerns as well.
