Working with men around issues of anxiety, depression, difficult transitions, and various existential issues has been the focus of my work. I believe that therapy is a process, and in that process my job is to help identify your strengths as well as your hurts, to help you process that which is holding you back, and to help develop your passions and path forward. My work is rooted in an existential, humanistic, and depth framework, which is aimed at slowing down and truly understanding the way in which you are experiencing life. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, feelings of meaninglessness, conflict in your relationships, and more, we can work through it all together.

I work with men who feel lost, depressed and anxious. They may not feel like they know the right questions to ask. Some guys start therapy at the prompting of someone else and they may be skeptical about whether it can help them. I work with clients to make therapy useful and meaningful to them.
Change happens as clients develop new insight into themselves and their relationships. The basis of my approach is psychodynamic and relational. I may suggest using specific tools as I tailor my approach for each client.

Working with men to uncover and work through what holds them back is a passion that serves everyone involved. When men are more clear about their desires and ways to work with those desires, a greater freedom is available to them. Working with men on issues of depression and anxiety is where the bulk of my experience has been. Recovery is possible.

From my perspective, successful and lasting psychotherapy helps bring to consciousness parts of ourselves that have been held captive in the darkness of the unconscious or in terrorizing memories of the past. But our task is neither to deny nor forget the past, however painful. Rather, our challenge is to discover the insights and gifts that our suffering can offer us as we awaken. Hence, our emerging consciousness acts as the morning sun as it illuminates our way forward.

I am a dual credentialed mental health and addictions therapist trained to provide a variety of different interventions to support and help you process and identify treatment goals as well as objectives. I focus on helping my clients step outside themselves and explore hidden aspects of who they are; it opens doors to unlimited possibilities, your ideal self. The fear of the unknown is real and therapy allows you to traverse that journey with a facilitator, someone you can reach out to in a crisis. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy to reduce depression, anxiety, and trauma-related symptoms.
