I work with men who feel lost, depressed and anxious. They may not feel like they know the right questions to ask. Some guys start therapy at the prompting of someone else and they may be skeptical about whether it can help them. I work with clients to make therapy useful and meaningful to them.
Change happens as clients develop new insight into themselves and their relationships. The basis of my approach is psychodynamic and relational. I may suggest using specific tools as I tailor my approach for each client.

From my perspective, successful and lasting psychotherapy helps bring to consciousness parts of ourselves that have been held captive in the darkness of the unconscious or in terrorizing memories of the past. But our task is neither to deny nor forget the past, however painful. Rather, our challenge is to discover the insights and gifts that our suffering can offer us as we awaken. Hence, our emerging consciousness acts as the morning sun as it illuminates our way forward.
