Are you experiencing overwhelming emotions, unwanted thoughts, challenging relationships, codependency, unhelpful habits or addiction? You are not alone. If you are feeling stuck in life, I can help by listening to your concerns and providing the support you need for anxiety and depression, grief, loss, transition, stress, addiction and codependency.
The primary modality I work from is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, however, I incorporate many elements into the work I do with clients depending on their needs.
I realize that the decision to start therapy can be terrifying and takes a lot of courage, believe me, I have been there myself. Contact me for a free 20-minute phone consultation.

I am a private practice psychologist focusing on depression, anxiety, anger and related mood issues. Overall, my approach is more on the structured side. I approach therapy as a set of moves that anybody can learn in order to help themselves work with thoughts, emotions and behaviours. Although history can be important, the main focus of my work is here and now, because that’s the only time when change can happen.

Everyone struggles with something. We can’t control every thought, feeling, or body sensation we have, but we can find ways to create balance and choice in our lives. In sessions, you can expect to develop skills to help you understand yourself with compassion, while keeping “who you are” at the centre of the process.
I prioritize developing clarity, trust, and respect in our work, so that counselling can act as a stabilizing and supportive presence in your life. I work from an integrative approach, drawing from a selection of research-supported theories like ACT, EFIT, and narrative therapy. My work is also informed by the 12 years I worked in international and Olympic rugby, helping athletes make difficult decisions under pressure.

Specializations include Relationship Break-up and Affair Recovery; Boundaries and Communication; Mental Health treatment for ADHD, depression, and anxiety; and Addictions.

I work online with couples and individuals across Canada (BC, YT, NWT, SK, MB, Nunavut) who want to live with more joy and meaning in their lives in spite of the trauma they’ve faced. Though the past can hold us back, it does not have to define us. The counselling I offer can help you process and integrate your past so that it doesn’t get so much in the way of you achieving what you want in life – whether that be progressing your life and career goals, deepening your relationships with others, processing grief and loss, becoming more confident in your personal identity, or managing and growing through depression, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress. I work to connect you with your emotions and build concrete skills that will help you thrive.
