Therapy with me is engaging and thought-provoking. I will encourage you to explore and help you change how you relate to your thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and beliefs in an environment where you feel safe to be yourself and where you feel heard and accepted. I work with people who seek deeper meaning in their lives, greater understanding of themselves, and who are interested in “leaving no stone unturned” in the search for greater self-understanding and self-acceptance. Doing the hard work of therapy takes courage, commitment, and time. But it is worth it and the changes you seek in your life are possible. You will find me to have a calming and approachable demeanor, and to be caring and easy to talk to.
I draw from many schools of thought, but my goal is always to foster awareness and curiosity about your experiences of life, and to give you tools to help you overcome the obstacles you face so you can create a life you enjoy living. I am located in Denver, CO and also provide therapy online across Colorado and New Jersey.

I specialize in anxiety, stress, and existential concerns, particularly with those who identify as gifted/neurodivergent/2e (and I personally identify as 2e). Trained in Brainspotting (trauma-processing therapy). I’m trauma-informed, LGBTQ+ affirming, neurodivergence affirming, and anti-racist. My goal is to meet you where you are and understand what you want to work on – you’re the expert on your life but I can help you see it differently and make the changes you want. That might include coping strategies, looking at your needs, strengths, and values, psychoeducation around the things that are bothering you, and more.

Feeling distraught about your relationships or sexuality? My role in this relationship is to guide you as you take steps towards positive life changes, healing, and a healthy mind. I am here to help you meet your goals, create more self-awareness, feel empowered, and embody the best version of yourself. I seek to help clients strengthen their relationships with themselves as well as others. My philosophy is that healing lies within our connection to others. Together, we can explore what may be holding you back from being your authentic self, improving your relationships, and living a balanced life.
I am a sex positive therapist. Diverse genders, relationships and sexualities are welcomed and affirmed. Working with couples is an area in which I am very passionate. I draw upon attachment theory, mindfulness techniques, a person-centered approach, and cognitive behavioral therapy to provide clients with counseling that best fits their needs.
Reach out to Respark Therapy for a free phone consult. I am non-judgmental and affirming to all lifestyles, orientations, and relationship practices. I work with Respark Therapy and Associates under Heather McPherson, LPC-S, LMFT-S, AASECT Certified Sex Therapist.
