About P.:
I’m a 29 year old lawyer who runs his own law firm.
My life was shattered when my father passed away last year. His death was sudden and unexpected and I witnessed his life slowly fade over the month he was hospitalized. Before he was hospitalized my father was a healthy and active 65 year old man, my best friend and the rare type of man that was selfless and loved his family. My father’s passing left me crippled with grief and overwhelmed with responsibilities. I feel like I am only now emerging from the fog of this grief.
Addressing my emotions and trying to work through them.
Being selective with the people I shared with.
Trying to focus on the many positives in my life instead of my loss.
Focusing on eating right and physical activity.
There is no magic or universal fix. Be kind to yourself and understand that addressing your emotions and reconciling them takes time.
