Do you find yourself tired of facing feelings of anxiety, “being stuck,” sadness, low motivation, or a lack of self-love? Are you interested in creating a stronger sense of self, understanding your choices, and digging into the roots of why you feel the way you do? Are you interested in looking at your past, taking power back over your story, and learning about new ways to take a look at things? Do you want to learn more about how our physical health can influence our emotional well-being? Together, we can look at your past, present, and future goals, and provide you with an understanding of what this means to you. My therapy approach uses CBT, ACT, Narrative, and more, but our work would be unique to your goals and needs.

Hi there! I work in private practice in Ontario. I work with individuals with depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, or can just help with coping with daily stressors.

I provide Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy for adults and adolescents experiencing symptoms due to traumatic, distressful events in childhood and/or adulthood. Feeling overwhelmed or stuck prevents you from living in the present moment. EMDR, as a comprehensive therapy, can help unlock traumatic memories trapped in the brain. Symptoms such as panic attacks, phobias, flashbacks, depression, and anxiety can affect our level of functionality, and the way we relate to ourselves and others in daily life, work, home, and school. Take the next step to your wellness! I look forward to hearing from you!

My clients receive a genuine, dedicated, and committed therapist. I always make sure I am checking in and seeking feedback to ensure our time together is meaningful and beneficial. I have been told many times that I am approachable, funny, and easy to talk to. If I can make someone laugh when they are dealing with a difficult situation, then why not? I am straight-forward and supportive. I have a decade of experience as a social worker and have the clinical skills to know how to approach different personalities in order to build rapport in a short time frame.

I have been practicing since early 2015 and have a diverse clinical background, including experience in sex therapy, trauma, depression, anxiety, couples counseling, traumatic brain injury (TBI), and addictions/recovery.
I utilize a collaborative approach to therapy where I’ll explain what we’re doing and why and we’ll engage in the process together. Therapy can be challenging, but can help you to live a better life.

I take a holistic approach to mental health, and have worked in fitness and areas of spirituality prior to my work as a therapist. I help men figure out their lives as they reconsider their past, close the chapters they have yet to close, and move on to the next phase of their journey. Whatever the issue, I like to attack both symptoms and the roots of whatever ails you with a mix of Cognitive-Behavioural and Narrative therapeutic approaches.

I believe each client has unique needs which is why I take my lead from each client. Whether you’re feeling lonely, isolated, unwanted, or stressed; I will take the time to get to know your concerns first. Once we have identified your main concerns, we can work collaboratively towards your goals. I have experience working with adult men and seniors through crisis prevention and individual counselling. I currently provide virtual therapy as well as in-person counselling at my office in downtown Hamilton to adults 18+. Some approaches that I utilize are Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Narrative Therapy. Overall, I aim to provide a space where clients feel safe discussing their mental health.

I believe that every human has the capacity to heal. My approach is to help you find the wisdom within you. We do this together with patience, empathy, honesty and relationship. I am here to guide you toward your inherent ability. All pain is a result of judgement – I help us weed through the judgements so we can find the authentic you.

For me, therapy is primarily about health, not illness. I believe that depression is a false story about who you believe you are. I work with men to help them discover the strong and capable person beneath the problems who is able to find a solid place in life. I have been a psychotherapist for 35 years and am eclectic and flexible in my approach to others according to their needs and abilities.
I have always been interested in what makes the world tick. After graduating from university I travelled, worked in a scrapyard, did furniture moving, courier delivery and worked as a driver for the disabled. I then followed this up with social service jobs in the YMCA and the government. However, I still felt unfulfilled in my search regarding life. And gradually it came to me: people, and what drives them, have created all of history. In this way I was led to my study of psychology, and my past 30 years in private practice have been a dream job.
