HELP PROMOTE HEADSUPGUYS

YOU NEVER KNOW WHO MAY BE STRUGGLING IN SILENCE. SPREAD THE WORD ABOUT HEADSUPGUYS.

HeadsUpGuys is committed to raising awareness about men’s mental health and breaking down the stigma that often gets in the way of men getting the help they need and deserve. You can play a crucial role in our mission by promoting our cause within your communities.

SHARE PRINT MATERIAL

Spread awareness of our resource by distributing our print materials throughout your community (e.g., local barbershops, sporting events, bars, fitness centres).

You can also help distribute material at health clinics, counselling centres, university student health centres, physiotherapy clinics, pharmacies, mental health presentations, and workshops.  This helps ensure that health service providers in your area are aware of our resource, so they can refer their clients who may benefit from it.

The process is simple. Approach the manager or receptionist of the business you’re visiting and explain that HeadsUpGuys is a mental health resource for men, and you’re working to raise awareness to support men in your community.

Ask if they would be willing to support this cause by having brochures available or hanging a poster in the men’s bathroom, or any other suitable place in their establishment.

You can be a catalyst for change by raising awareness and creating safe spaces that show men it’s okay to talk about their mental health, ask for help, and get the support they need.

Our supporters have found some truly innovative and impactful ways to promote HeadsUpGuys and make a difference in their communities, including:

  • Setting up booths at universities and colleges
  • Hosting Trivia nights
  • Placing decals on race cars
  • Organizing motorcycle rides
  • Running Warhammer marathons

Whatever your idea–whether you’re organizing an event or embarking on a personal challenge–you can help shift how mental health is perceived and talked about in your community.
