HEADSUPGUYS IS FUNDED EXCLUSIVELY THROUGH DONATIONS
Men’s mental health is in a long overlooked state of crisis, with statistics showing that men account for 75%-80% of suicide deaths.1 In many countries, suicide ranks as one of the leading causes of death for men under 50 years old.2
One contributing factor is that many men struggle with reaching out for help for their mental health, influenced by unfamiliarity of symptoms, fear of ‘looking weak’ by reaching out, or simply not knowing that recovery is possible.3
HeadsUpGuys is the world’s leading men’s mental health resource. Our testimonials consistently illustrate the tangible differences we are making, offering hope and saving lives.
Since launching in 2015, HeadsUpGuys continues to have a tremendous impact engaging men the world over.
HeadsUpGuys prides itself on maintaining low costs, and running a lean and well-oiled machine. 100% of donations go directly toward funding our program.
Donations to our resource qualify for a tax credit, as HeadsUpGuys is a program of The University of British Columbia (UBC), a registered charitable organization.
Your support enables us to extend the reach of HeadsUpGuys, positively impacting not only the men in your life but also men across the globe. By equipping them with the skills and tools to improve their mental health and reduce their risk of suicide, together we can make a meaningful difference in their lives.

How is HeadsUpGuys Currently Funded?
HeadsUpGuys relies solely on donations from our donor community for funding. We do not receive funding from federal or provincial/state governments.
Although we are a program of The University of British Columbia (UBC), HeadsUpGuys does not directly receive funding from UBC. However, we benefit from essential support such as office space, financial administration, and human resource management.
Where Do Donations Go?
100% of your contributions go toward sustaining our team, updating and expanding our website, ongoing awareness efforts, as well as creating promotional campaigns and materials.
(Unlike other non-profit organizations, as a program of UBC, we do not have expenses related to office space, financial administration, and human resource management).
